true LOVE
Anjali
gave him a diary to write and Victor gave her a pen. He didn’t like the concept
of writing diary about his own life, so he started asking her questions about
her bucket list, her dreams, her favorite dish, fruit, color, actor, actress, movie,
her each and every like and dislike and every night Victor secretly wrote it in
the same diary. They both loved each other more than anything in this world and
even beyond.
It
was Anjali’s birthday today. Obviously, he was the first one to wish her. They saw
a movie, went for a long drive, and, to Anjali’s surprise, Victor had planned a
party for her. All of her friends were already there. Everything was perfect,
and she loved it. They laughed, danced, kissed and ejoyed every moment of
today, like it was their last day together. But after all, he was a boy, and
how can a boy do something without making any mistakes. He had forgotten the
gift, the gift which she had especially asked from him. She remembered it but chose
to ignore it, because he had done a great job today and she was very happy. Perhaps
it was the best day of her life. Her parents had also met him today and they
too liked him. Now she was sure that it was him, her true love her future life
partner. Before going to bed, she thanked her god, because she couldn’t have
asked for a better life than this one. She slept with tears in her eyes; these
were the tears of happiness.
But
from the very next day, everything changed, because Victor was changed. He behaved
like a different person. He stopped picking her calls, didn’t reply to her
texts and never showed her his face again. Perhaps he had ditched her without
even telling her a reason. But Anjali, she didn’t give up on him. She kept on
trying. She was hurt. She prayed, tried and cried but nothing worked. She met Victor’s
parents, they were nice people and they treated her very well but couldn’t do
anything to help her out. They told her that Victor had left this city. She was
left with so many unanswered questions, broken promises and endless pain. Her
true love had felt her empty. How could he do this to her? How could she forget,
the moments they had spent together, the promises Victor had made? Love is
tough to find and tougher to forget. But time is the biggest healer and eventually
the time passed. Anjali found a new friend. Ravi was nice person and he cared
for her. Anjali was not a person who would lie or keep secrets, so she told him
everything. She even told him that somewhere she still missed Victor but she
would never return to him for what he had done to her. Ravi too accepted her
with her past.
Today
they were marrying. In her red designer lehnga, Anjali was looking like an
angel. Ravi also looked great in his black Armani suit. Then, somewhere in the
crowd of her relatives and known ones, Anjali saw the glimpse of Victor’s
parents, but they didn’t appear again. Suddenly all those feelings were alive
again. She wanted to run away from this marriage and ask them about Victor.
Later
in the evening while they were opening gifts, Anjali found an unnamed packet. It
had the same pair of anklets which she had asked from Victor for her birthday. It
confused her. Few days later, Ravi received a courier in his office; there was the
same diary and a letter in it. Perhaps she would never know what Victor had done before his death.

“Just because a
Relationship ends, it doesn’t mean that two people stopped loving each other,
perhaps it’s ended because they cared too much for each other.”
This story is heartbreaking... I love to quote the ending of the story, just because a relationship ends it doesnt mean that two people stopped loving each other
ReplyDeleteThey both cared for each other.@LittleMisshoney: why did Victor leave her?? what do you think?
DeleteLovely story. It left me wondering why did Victor leave her? What's the mystery ?Please disclose.
ReplyDelete@Prerna SInha: What do you think? Why did he leave her?
DeleteNow I'm wondering about what's in the diary. The answers are there. :)
ReplyDeleteOh so heart-breaking! I don't know what to do too if I were in her shoes. Such a hard situation and yeah I am intrigued what's in the diary do you have any idea?
ReplyDeleteLove this post :)
Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDelete@eLaNaKcL: thanks. I haven't planned the ending as of now but whenever I will write it. I'll make sure its full of happiness.
Deletewhy did victor leave her so suddenly? did he contract some terminal disease or what, which was why only his parents showed up?
ReplyDeleteSeriously. I wanted to say the F*** word when I saw the last liner. It sucks because WHY can't they be together! Why do one party always assume that they can't be together and leave? The pain of sudden departure hurts more than anything else!
ReplyDelete@Tiffany: perhaps Victor already had apprehension about his death. he knew that the anger and the hope to meet and get all answers will surpass the pain of someone leaving for forever. he asked his parents to deliver the pending gift and the diary to the life partner of Anjali, so that he can take care of her in the best possible manner. This might sound rude, foolish or even very wrong but we all are different and weird and so are our ways of loving.I hope you liked the story, please check the other posts as well. Thank you. have a great day.
DeleteThe story is mysterious for me. Victor is haunting her in a way that in every move she make there is VICTORS SHADOW that always following her. Her marriage I think is a sad day for her, because she still love Victor.
ReplyDelete@Raine: thats another angle.Maybe I should take your help for the next stories or even for the sequal of this part. God bless you. keep reading .
DeleteA heartfelt one. But me too is wondering, Why Victor have a change of heart. BTW I love your photo.

Deletesuch a lovely romantic story although I didn't like the ending. I hope Victor was still alive, but why don't you mention why Victor was dead? I mean what happen to him?
ReplyDelete@Selly: few things should always be left for the readers imagination. In some parallel universe Victor and Anjali are together, enjoying each other's company. thanks for the comment. please check the other posts as well.
DeleteThis is a really sad parting and it was more difficult to know that Victor died. I hope Anjali has a good life with Ravi.
ReplyDelete@Franc: she will have a great life with Ravi. thanks @Franc for your comment, please check the other posts as well.
DeleteGood telling of story yaar. Maybe the catch of this story is to attach our own interpretations of its ending. I only wish it is comical and not tragic.
ReplyDelete@Aditya: Exactly my point, thanks for your comment. I will write some comical stories as well though making someone laugh is the toughest and greatest piece of art. I hope you like other stories as well. have a great day.
DeleteVery well-written story. The sadness of the story lingers the way the events of this tragedy had been told.
ReplyDelete@Fred: thanks for your valuable comment. please check the other posts as well. have a great day.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful but heartbreaking story. But the heart mends and the heart heals, Angeli will eventually be 100% happy someday with Ravi.
ReplyDeleteI love reading your stories but I no longer believe in true love. As someone going through a divorce I'm kinda jaded.
ReplyDeleteWe will ever know what truely happened? Love definitely never stops after death thats for sure.
ReplyDeleteLosing everything is a side effect of dying but some people keep everything abot them alive even after the cessation of their lives.... Great job
